An ongoing body of work exploring the beliefs and social structures through which we make sense of the world.
Working with earth, clay, mineral matter and synthetic pigments, I create paintings through processes of layering, disruption and removal. My work considers how shared narratives shape our ideas of value, identity and belonging.
I think of these narratives as a form of modern folklore: stories and beliefs that shape society, often appearing natural or inevitable until they are questioned.
