Commissions
Original works, made to commission.I undertake a limited number of painting commissions, creating original works informed by the architecture, palette and character of a space.
Working with layered surfaces, natural materials and richly developed textures, each painting evolves through an intuitive process of building, revealing and refining. Commissions draw on the material language of my existing practice while allowing for a considered response to scale, colour and setting.
The Process.
❋ 01 — Initial enquiry
Please provide details of the proposed dimensions, intended location, preferred palette and any relevant visual references. Photographs of the space can be helpful in establishing the context for the work.
❋ 02 — Proposal and quotation
Following an initial discussion, I will advise on the proposed dimensions, artistic direction, timescale and cost. A written quotation and commission terms will be provided for approval.
❋ 03 — Confirmation
A deposit is required to secure the commission and confirm a place in my studio schedule. Work begins once the brief, terms and payment arrangements have been agreed.
❋ 04 — Creation and delivery
The painting is developed in the studio using the agreed brief as a starting point. Progress updates can be arranged where appropriate. On completion, the remaining balance and delivery arrangements are confirmed before dispatch.
Pricing
Each commission is priced according to its dimensions, materials and individual requirements. A quotation will be provided before the commission is confirmed, including any applicable delivery costs.
