To be human is to be nature, to be wild—yet to be fully human we must meet our nature fully.

Lauren O’Sullivan’s work explores what it means to return to our centre: the paths we cross, the shadows we confront, the messy, the wild, with the hope and the possibility of knowing ourselves—and being seen—more fully. Her practice is rooted in the layers of memory carried in the body, the interconnection with nature, and the cycles of transformation that shape and ultimately heal us if we dare to open to the process.

Inspired by her Irish and English heritage, Lauren’s art is a celebration of life’s cycles and rhythms, she explores themes of memory, erosion and time.

Nature is both subject and medium: earth pigments, clay, terracotta, basalt, plant dyes, and resin’s such as honey, olive, and linseed form the foundation of her work. These raw, elemental materials hold their own histories and become vessels for transformation—grounding her contemporary practice in the timeless dialogue between body, healing, land, and memory.
